Shadric Namalomba Sworn in as Malawi’s Minister of Information and Communications Technology

Newly appointed minister assumes office with a mandate to advance digital innovation and ICT development across the country.

Honorable Shadric Namalomba has officially taken the oath of office as Malawi’s Minister of Information and Communications Technology.

In addition to the oath of office, Namalomba also took the oath of allegiance, pledging to serve the nation with integrity and dedication to advancing Malawi’s digital and communication sectors.

His appointment comes at a time when the Ministry of ICT is tasked with expanding digital infrastructure, improving internet access, and fostering technological innovation nationwide.

Observers note that Namalomba’s tenure will be closely watched as he is expected to implement policies that enhance connectivity, modernize ICT systems, and support digital literacy across Malawi.
