Bakili Muluzi TV online television station has claimed that the State House has spent K115 billion for President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his extended family speaking for itself that he was not caring for the lives of the citizens but himself, family members, relatives and friends.

Bakili Muluzi TV said it has now been established through written documents exposing the budget which was allocated to State House citing President Chakwera’s travel and accommodation including air tickets and chartered planes K49 billion.

He said allowances and transport refunds to State House visitors K19 billion, clothing allowances for the President and his extended family K14 billion, Sundries for all the State residences K2 billion, landscaping and cleaning materials K1.8 billion.

The activist said in the 2025 budget, the State House was allocated K67 billion to last for 12 months but in only 6 months, the money was blown off and President Chakwera even borrowed for more to cover up the remaining 6 months.

Bakili Muluzi TV has reminded Malawians that prior to the 16th September, 2025 general elections, all fuel service stations were dry without fuel and this prompted President Chakwera to apologize to Malawians for the challenge the country is experiencing.

The TV station said in his address to the nation, President Chakwera while acknowledging the challenge of fuel scarcity in the country said there are people at the NOCMA who are behind all this to happen and after the general elections, those people will find somewhere to work.

He said days after Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika was sworn in as President of the country, fuel challenges have been the order of the day making fuel service stations dry, the HRDC came out challenging the DPP government to address the challenge in as soon as yesterday.

The activist claimed that President Professor Mutharika has failed to govern the country saying it will mobilize Malawians to go to the streets to hold peaceful demonstrations for government to urgently bring into the country fuel.

Bakili Muluzi TV has asked the HRDC that before labelling President Professor Mutharika a failure, it should go to President Chakwera to tell the nation that who and who were fired at NOCMA for the fuel challenges the country is continuing experiencing till this date.

“Malawians heard for themselves that the government procured fuel and never saw this happening, they are demanding their money back,” he said.

Bakili Muluzi TV has advised Malawians never and ever to listen to HRDC propagandas, saying HRDC is an organization which was established to promote the interests of the MCP and no wonder MCP is behind supporting it to hold demonstrations in the country as it was in 2019.
