A voice of the voiceless citizen of Malawi Comrade Alhji Imraan Jumbe, says Malawian eyes are fixed on one unresolved wound- the tragic plane crash of the 10th June, 2024 that claimed the life of Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima and eight other distinguished citizens in the Chikangawa forest.
Comrade Jumbe said the resources and urgency should not appear more visibly directed toward minor offences such as hunting of German shepherd dogs which can simply be replaced saying the citizens are demanding to know the truth on the killers or master-minders behind the death of Dr. Chilima and eight others.
He said Malawians are waiting for the truth about what happened in the Chikangawa forest and this should be a priority, they are waiting to know the whereabouts of the black box saying the truth of Chikangawa tragedy is not a political luxury.
Writing on his face book page, Comrade Jumbe said Malawians are waiting for a full story of what transpired that dark day when the nation was robbed of its Vice President and eight others, patriotic sons and daughters.
Comrade Jumbe said while hunger, poverty, and economic frustrations, drove many people to vote for change, the demand for truth on the Chikangawa crash was equally a decisive force behind the victory of the DPP and the downfall of the MCP administration.
He said for decades, Malawians have survived under the weight of hunger and poverty, but the mysterious death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima ignited a rare powerful unity of purpose- a vote fueled by pain, demanding answers.
The citizen said every opposition politician standing on campaign podiums, shouted for truth, every opposition leader promised justice for Dr. Chilima and eight others, saying now that DPP is in power, the nation is expecting action not delay, clarity not excuses, and justice not silence.
“The government must accelerate and speed up investigations, release credible updayes, reveal the black box findings, and ensure all individuals implicated directly or indirectly are brought before the wheels of justice without fear, favour, or political shielding,” reads Comrade Jumbe’s writings on the wall.
Comrade Jumbe has reminded the DPP led government and President Professor Arthur Peter Muthariika that Malawians voted with the hope that the painful chapter of 10th June, 2024 would finally be handled with integrity, transparency, and resolute urgency.
He said time to act is now, the nation is watching, the families are waiting reminding government and President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika that justice delayed any further risks becoming justice denied.
