Red Lions have officially secured their return to the TNM Super League after edging Bangwe All Stars 1–0 in a tense encounter at Balaka Stadium.

Head Coach Malumbo Mkandawire expressed his delight at the team’s comeback, thanking players and supporters for their resilience throughout the season. He also appealed to Malawi Defence Force (MDF) officials to continue backing the Zomba-based side as they prepare for life back in the top-flight.

Despite sealing promotion, Red Lions are still chasing the ultimate prize. They now need just three more points to be crowned NBS National Division League champions, with crucial fixtures remaining against Chintheche United, Chilumba Barracks, and Baka City.

The Lions are not only back — they are hungry to finish the job in style.
