The People’s Development Party (PDP) has been hit by a major shake-up after two of its senior officials abruptly resigned, sparking fresh questions about turmoil inside the party’s top ranks.
PDP Publicity Secretary Rhodes Msonkho and National Director of Research Sosten Chimimba have both walked away from their positions — and from the party altogether.
The two confirmed that they had indeed stepped down, but refused to reveal what pushed them out, leaving a vacuum of answers and a storm of speculation.
Their sudden departure comes at a time when PDP is already struggling to find stable footing on the national political stage. The silence from the party’s leadership has only deepened suspicion. Repeated attempts to reach PDP officials for comment proved futile, with calls going unanswered and messages ignored.
Political analysts say such back-to-back resignations at this level rarely happen without internal conflict, raising concerns about widening cracks within the party’s hierarchy.
For now, the nation is left watching a party in apparent disarray — and waiting for PDP to break its silence on what exactly is happening behind closed doors.
