The true spirit of Christmas was beautifully reflected yesterday as Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Commissioner Carol Mfune paid a heartwarming visit to former Minister and DPP Deputy Secretary General Grace Obama Chiumia at her residence in Area 4, Mzuzu.
In a gesture marked by compassion, friendship, and enduring affection, Commissioner Mfune chose to spend part of her Christmas celebrations with Hon. Chiumia, who has been unwell for some time. The visit was not only a moment of celebration but also one of encouragement and solidarity.
Commissioner Mfune reported that Hon. Chiumia was in good spirits, her warm smile speaking volumes. It was a smile that reflected joy, love, and the comfort that comes from being in the presence of a dear and trusted friend.

This simple yet meaningful act captured the essence of Christmas: love, kindness, and standing by one another.
