A concerned citizen of Malawi residing at Area 51 in Lilongwe Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda, has asked Mr. Billy Frederick Malata to leave activist Bon Kalido alone saying Kalindo has been speaking for the voiceless citizens while him was dining with Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
Kaliza said Malata was expelled from the DPP for being one of the people who did not wish the DPP well, his agenda was to make sure that the DPP ends like curtains on the wall, he has been filing court injunctions against President Professor Mutharika and the DPP.
She said Malata, Joe Nyirongo and Kenneth Chitatata Msonda after being expelled from the DPP, they all joined the MCP to become their activists speaking against personalities of President Professor Mutharika and behind encouraging MPs to table Age Limit Bill to bar Mutharika from standing in the 16th September, 2025 elections.
The citizen has noted that ever since Professor Mutharika was voted into power on the 16th September, 2025 elections, Malata has shifted his goalposts from MCP back to DPP for the reasons best explained by some DPP officials who are still recognizing him as an activist.
She said every time Kalindo releases an audio clip, Billy Malata is there to counter attack him speaking for itself that there are some people in the DPP who are sponsoring him to be attacking left and right Kalindo so that he stops speaking for the voiceless citizens in Malawi.
The concerned citizen said Kalindo has stood with Malawians right from the day they were eating wild bushes (chitedze) as food for their survivals, he has been with the people of Kasasire in northern Nkhatabay district claiming that Kalindo is man of the people.
She said Malata is one of the activist who has benefited from MCP free for all money and maheu and because the MCP has lost power, he has switched his focus to the DPP to be recognized that he is an activist with one agenda of being supported by the DPP as used before joining the MCP.
Kaliza said interestingly, those who fought for the country’s liberation from the MCP of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera are not recognized and their roles are not being appreciated by the DPP and President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika one of them, is Bon Kalindo.
She said genuine activists such as Lytone Mangochi, Pastor Moses Shumba, Billy Banda, Ntanyiwa, Bakili Muluzi TV,Bishop Kachenje, and journalists such as Burnett Munthali, Jones Gadama and Suleman Chitela have at no time said and reported negative against Kalindo only Billy Malata.
“Stop speaking against Kalindo, just be eating money you are being given by some DPP officials, if you have nothing to speak to your readers, keep quiet and not attacking Kalindo’s audio clips,” said Kaliza.
She has finally appealed to genuine activists and journalists never and ever to give up, if DPP is not rewarding or appreciating their courageous work, Malawian prayers will reward them that without them Professor Mutharika and DPP could not have won the elections with a landslide victory.
