Print & Cut Company has reaffirmed its commitment to community pride and place branding, expressing strong optimism that the Mangochi District Council will approve its proposal to reinstall the iconic “Mangochi” sign that was recently stolen from the district’s main entrance.
Speaking after Mangochi Police confirmed the recovery of the stolen sign, Head of Marketing at Print & Cut Company, Mr. Chester Maganizo, said the company stands ready to deliver an even more impressive replacement—at no cost to the public.

Mr. Maganizo revealed that Print & Cut has already pledged to design and install a new sign that is larger, more durable, and of superior quality, reinforcing Mangochi’s image as one of Malawi’s most vibrant and welcoming destinations. The announcement, first shared on social media, has attracted widespread praise from residents, creatives, and visitors alike.
Mr. Maganizo emphasized that Print & Cut will strictly adhere to all required procedures and approvals before commencing the reinstallation process. He described the initiative as part of the company’s broader corporate social responsibility agenda, aimed at giving back to communities and supporting local identity.
Over the years, the Mangochi sign has grown into a beloved landmark, frequently used by residents, tourists, and well-known artists as a backdrop for photographs marking their arrival in the lakeshore district. Its restoration is expected to rekindle that sense of pride and provide a renewed visual symbol for the area.
With goodwill from the council and continued cooperation from authorities, Print & Cut’s gesture promises not only to restore a sign—but to strengthen Mangochi’s image, boost local morale, and celebrate a destination that holds a special place in Malawi’s cultural and tourism landscape.
