President Arthur Peter Mutharika has been honoured for his outstanding leadership and political acumen at the 2026 Iconic Africa Summit Honours, held last night in .
The high-profile award, which recognises exceptional African leaders and change-makers, was received on President Mutharika’s behalf by Minister of Local Government . The award was officially presented by Zimbabwe’s Vice President, , during a glittering ceremony attended by political leaders, business executives, and development partners from across the continent.
Speaking after receiving the honour, Phiri said the recognition is a clear testament to President Mutharika’s unwavering dedication to Malawi and Africa’s broader development agenda.
