The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Balaka has awarded a certificate of recognition to CCYCDO for its role as an Anti-Corruption Champion and its demonstrated capacity to implement anti-corruption initiatives within the community.
The recognition follows a training programme conducted by the ACB aimed at strengthening community-based efforts in the fight against corruption. Through the training, members of CCYCDO were equipped with knowledge and skills to conduct awareness campaigns, promote transparency, and report corrupt practices at the grassroots level.
The certificate was signed by Acting Director General Mr Gabriel Chembezi and Director of Public Education Mrs. Agness Mweta, underscoring the bureau’s endorsement of the organisation’s readiness to champion integrity initiatives.
ACB officials said the recognition is part of broader efforts to empower local organisations to take an active role in preventing and combating corruption within their communities.
CCYCDO representatives welcomed the recognition, describing it as a motivation to intensify anti-corruption awareness and advocacy activities in Balaka and surrounding areas
