A concerned citizen of Malawi Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda of Area 51 in Lilongwe, has called upon the Malawi Parliament to deliberate on a deliberate law that will see those possessing illegal firearms voluntarily handing them over to the police.
Kaliza Banda has made the call following the arrests of two men suspected to have been found with pistols and rounds of rubber bullets in Zomba.
She said the five years of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and the MCP was characterized by fear which grew in the mind of many Malawians following revelations by Bakili Muluzi TV and Limpopo FM online radio that 400 illegal guns found its way to Malawi and were distributed to MCP youth operatives.
The citizen said the activities of the panga wielding MCP thugs of terrorizing and hacking innocent people in Lilongwe and surrounding places proved itself that MCP and President Chakwera were ready for terror in Malawi.
She said during peaceful demonstrations which were organized by activist Comrade Bon Kalindo in Zomba, one protester was shot with a live bullet, and to this day, no action has been taken to a suspected MCP attacker.
Kaliza Banda said in Mponela – Dowa, MCP thugs ambushed a convoy of Alfred Gangata on its way to Lilongwe from Ntchisi where he held a political rally, gunshots were heard at Mponela, the incident was reported to the police in Mponela, and to this day, no investigations were made on those who exchanged gunshots.
She said according to Bakili Muluzi TV and Limpopo FM, MCP thugs allegedly armed with guns were targeting opposition party leaders and frontline activists organizing peaceful demonstrations in the country for eliminations in a quest for Boma ndilomweli silikuchoka mpakana 2084.
The citizen has warned the new government that living the firearms as they are with suspected MCP youth operatives and other crooked Malawians joined by foreigners, the country is not safe as it used to be during the reign of Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda – the Warm Heart of Africa.
Kaliza Banda has asked government to speed up.the deliberate law on illegal possession of firearms so that the citizens are alerted on the dangers of keeping illegal firearms and possibly fines or imprisonment to the offenders.
She has finally asked President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to make sure that the country is at peace, those with firearms must surrender them to police for the citizens to continue enjoying the fruits of supporting the DPP in government.
