I write this as one among many committed comrades who stood firm during the struggle against the Malawi Congress Party.
We did not act for personal gain we acted out of conviction, sacrifice, and belief in a better future.
I know patriots who tirelessly fought against malawi congress party .
They sacrificed and risked their lives but alas i don’t see their names near in serving any position of the government which they fought for.
These are the people who endured hardship, persecution,loss so that the Democratic Progressive Party could rise to power,but instead of them being recognised what we are witnessing is opposite.
We see certain individuals who never fought in the struggle against malawi congress party reaping where they didn’t sow for what are this rewards?
Today, I make a clear and urgent appeal: the Democratic Progressive Party must formally recognize and honor its foot soldiers.
A political movement does not win elections because of its own leadership alone.
It wins because of the collective efforts including efforts and sacrifices of patriots .
They carry the message, defend the vision, and stand resolute in difficult times.
Foot soldiers are the backbone in the struggle of any nation.
Ignoring them is not only unjust it weakens the very foundation on which the struggle stands.
Recognition them does not require extravagance
We need the change of heart not change of leadership,pick our calls recognise us you have nothing to lose.
Do formal thanksgiving and acknowledgment to your foot soldiers
Structured appreciation initiatives would send a powerful message
That loyalty, sacrifice, and commitment are valued and remembered.
History teaches us that failure to honor those who helped certain political movement ascending to power is to risk political grave.
Recognizing foot soldiers you strengthen unity, restore trust, and inspire future generations to serve with the same dedication.
My pen is mightier than a sword._
