LILONGWE – Blue Eagles FC have received a major financial boost after signing a one-year K100 million sponsorship agreement with retail company Sana Cash and Carry.
The sponsorship package is expected to strengthen the club both on and off the pitch as the Malawi Police-sponsored side continues its campaign in the FDH Bank Premiership.

According to officials from Sana Cash and Carry, K80 million of the sponsorship will be used to provide groceries and other essential supplies for Blue Eagles players, while the remaining K20 million will go directly to the club to support its operations.
In an additional incentive, Sana Cash and Carry has pledged to purchase a team bus for Blue Eagles FC if the club achieves a strong performance in this season’s FDH Bank Premiership.

The sponsorship is expected to improve player welfare and provide the club with greater financial stability as it aims to compete for top honours in Malawi’s premier football league.
The partnership also highlights the growing role of the private sector in supporting football development in Malawi, with corporate sponsorships becoming increasingly important in helping clubs improve their competitiveness and professionalism.
