Mangochi Nkungulu Forum for Development (MANFOD) has donated medical gloves to Kukalanga Health Centre in Mangochi District to improve the provision of healthcare services.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, MANFOD Public Relations Officer, Issa Chimwala, said the organisation decided to support the health facility after noting shortages of essential medical supplies, which have affected service delivery, particularly maternal healthcare.

He said due to inadequate medical supplies, some expectant women are referred to Mangochi District Hospital to access services that could otherwise be provided at Kukalanga Health Centre.RAILA Leads Mangochi District Hospital Cleanup and Patient Feeding Initiative

Chimwala said MANFOD remains committed to supporting the facility with essential medical supplies to help improve healthcare services in the area.

He also urged healthcare workers at the facility to continue serving the community with dedication and professionalism.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the health centre, nurse Jauma Hussein expressed gratitude to MANFOD for the timely support, saying the gloves would contribute to improving patient care.AGHF Feeds Patients, Guardians At Mangochi District Hospital

Hussein assured the organisation that the donated gloves would be used for their intended purpose and appealed to MANFOD and other well-wishers to continue supporting the facility with medical supplies, including gloves and pain-relieving medicines such as Panado and Ibuprofen, which are frequently in short supply.
