Health practitioners are blaming the continued absence of CT Scan equipment at the Kamuzu Central Hospital – KCH for the ineffective radiological diagnosis of various complicated health conditions.
For close to two years now, the referral facility has been operating without the vital piece of equipment, a situation that forces local surgeons to seek such services from private health facilities.

CT scans are mainly used to make medical analysis of conditions in the brains and other very internal organs that require high resolution scanning systems to determine.
one of the surgeons at KCH, Natasha Ngwira Chafuwa, makes a disparate call to the authorities to resolve the matter as a means to saving lives.
