Deputy Minister of Defence Harry Mkandawire says Government is committed to improving Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldiers’ welfare.
Mkandawire was speaking in Zomba when Raiply Malawi Limited, Robray Limited and Aki Investments donated assorted items including beds and mattresses to Changalume Camp Hospital in the district.
While commending the companies for the gesture, Mkandawire said the government is putting in place initiatives to address challenges affecting soldiers.
“Some of these initiatives are the construction of houses for the soldiers currently underway across the country,” said Mkandawire.
