Three Criminals Arrested Over Series Of Robberies In Ntcheu

Police in Ntcheu have arrested three men over a series of robberies in the district.

Ntcheu Police spokesperson Rebecca Ndiwate has identified the three as Mayeso Pepesi, 20, Jackson Bakali, 25 and Samuel Kayekeni, 21.

Ndiwate said they have arrested the suspects following Criminal Investigations Department (CID) investigation after complaints filed by residents of Thewa, Jeckdeck, Nsipe, Kampepuza, Ntcheu Secondary School and surrounding areas.

Ndiwate said the suspects led the officers to Tsangano in Mozambique where plasma screens, laptops, home theatres, inventors, Mattresses, Radios, Cellphones, desktop computers and assorted household items have been recovered and positively identified by complainants.

She said investigations are underway and more arrests and recoveries are expected to be made.

The three will appear in court soon to answer charges of breakings and theft.
