Dedza Dynamos Salima Sugar FC have hired former Flames defender Gilbert Chirwa as new coach, replacing Dan Dzinkambani who left the club on mutual agreement.
Chirwa has signed a one- year contract with an option to extend it.
” I am ready for the new challenge,” Chirwa said after signing the deal.
This means Chirwa has dumped Ekwendeni Hammers, having helped them survive relegation last season.
Dzinkambani was not readily available for his comment. But sources say Dzinkambani has been released as he does not have Caf B Coaching Licence, which is a minimum requirement for Super League coaches.
While in charge of Dynamos, Dzinkambani helped the club to finish on position nine in their debut season. They also took part in the Airtel Top 8.
