The Defenders Group for Good Governance has called on journalists in the country anchoring Exclusive interviews with MCP Ministers to ask them questions on the Chikangawa forest victims claiming that most MCP ministers are linked to the tragic death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others.
The Group has expressed its concern over an Exclusive interview which saw a Zodiak reporter failed to ask Richard Chimwendo Banda a question on who told him not to board the plane which carried Dr. Chilima to Mzuzu and ended up crashed in the Chikangawa forest.
Blessings Chaima Lozalio has challenged journalists that if they are afraid of asking MCP ministers the question on Chikangawa forest, they should call him to be part of the media to ask MCP Ministers questions on behalf of Malawians.
Speaking through an audio clip, Chaima said President Chakwera, Chimwendo Banda, Moses Kunkuyu, Harry Mkandawire, and Army Commander General Dr. Paul Velentino Phiri are owing Malawians explanations on Chikangawa Forest questions.
Chaima said during the interview with Zodiak Radio, Chimwendo Banda confessed to Malawians that the MCP is fearing DPP and not the other opposition parties saying the confession by Chimwendo is a wake-up call to all opposition parties to come together in an electoral alliance.
He has observed that political parties such as DPP, UTM, and UDF are in the Southern and the Eastern regions while MCP has no competitor in the central region saying this is speaking for itself that MCP is using other opposition parties to divide votes for DPP to give chance to the MCP to come out victorious in the September, 2025 elections.
The activist said this is the best time for all opposition parties to come together to form a strong alliance to unseat the MCP claiming that it can be possible that the MCP is using other opposition parties to be declaring to stand alone deliberately with the aim of dividing DPP votes.
He has pleaded with opposition parties to put Malawi first and others second for the country to be liberated from the shackles of MCP dictatorship saying Malawians are demanding Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to lead the Alliance with Dr. Dalitso Kabambe as his running mate.
“Some other people are arguing that there is need for balancing political leadership, this not the time, good governance first, we need total liberations of the country from the MCP,” said Chaima.
He said it is the wish of all Malawians to see transitional political leadership in their country that Dr. Dalitso Kabambe will hand-over power to Atupele Muluzi advising opposition leaders that having two leaders from one district should not give them headache, but liberation of the country.
Chaima has finally advised opposition party leaders that not all can be President of the country and Vice President of the country saying time for them is coming but this time around, let all opposition parties join hands with Malawians to liberate their country which is in the hands of MCP mafias and crooks.
