Reunion Insurance Company Limited has donated 20 wheelchairs worth K3.6 million to Kachere Rehabilitation Centre in Blantyre.
The support comes as the firm celebrates its 18th anniversary.
Reunion Insurance Company Limited Technical Manager Hastings Kapesa said the donation is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
“We chose to provide them with the wheelchairs to ease mobility challenges,” he says.
Kachere Rehabilitation Centre Board Member Macdonald Kalua hailed the company for the support.
He then called for more support from other corporate entities.
Meanwhile, the firm has also donated items to Crisis Nursery School in Lilongwe and Ekwendeni school for the blind in Mzuzu worth K1.3 million and K700,000 respectively
