The Liberation for Economic Freedom Party has announced plans to hold its major conference next year in preparation for the 2025 elections. The party’s leader, Reverend David Mbewe, confirmed that the conference will take place on March 3, 2025, in the city of Blantyre.

Reverend Mbewe expressed confidence in the party’s readiness to select capable leaders during the conference, positioning the party to effectively contest in next year’s elections.
“We believe that by choosing the right people for leadership roles, our party will be well-prepared to take part in the upcoming elections,” said Mbewe. He further stated that the Liberation for Economic Freedom Party is determined to enter government next year, signaling the party’s ambition to influence Malawi’s political landscape.
As of now, six other political parties have already held their major conferences in preparation for the elections, demonstrating the competitive nature of the upcoming political season. The Liberation for Economic Freedom Party aims to strengthen its position as a significant player in the race.
