PDP President Nankhumwa registers for 2025 General Elections

By Burnett Munthali

The President of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kondwani Nankhumwa, has officially registered today to participate in the upcoming 2025 General Elections. Nankhumwa completed the registration process at one of the voter registration centres, ensuring his eligibility to cast his vote next year.

Speaking after his registration, Nankhumwa emphasized the importance of every citizen exercising their democratic right to vote. He called on all eligible Malawians to register in large numbers to make their voices heard in the 2025 elections.

“This is a crucial time for our country. I encourage all citizens to take part in this process so we can collectively shape the future of our nation,” Nankhumwa said.

As a key figure in Malawi’s political landscape, Nankhumwa’s participation in the upcoming elections signals his commitment to the political process. The PDP leader is expected to play a significant role in the race, as the party positions itself as a major contender in next year’s elections.

The voter registration exercise, which began in phases across the country, aims to ensure that all eligible voters are enrolled and prepared for the 2025 elections. Nankhumwa’s call to action has been echoed by several political leaders, urging the public not to miss this opportunity to have a say in the future leadership of Malawi.

With the elections drawing closer, political parties are gearing up for what is expected to be a highly competitive race, and Nankhumwa’s active involvement highlights his determination to lead his party into the next phase of Malawi’s democracy.
