Imperial Motors Launches Three New Models, Including the Electric GWM ORA

Imperial Motors has introduced three new vehicles to the Malawian market, among them the fully electric GWM ORA, marking a significant move towards sustainable transportation. The launch, held at the company’s Blantyre offices, also unveiled the GWM Tank 300 and the HAVAL GT, expanding Imperial Motors’ diverse offerings to meet growing customer demand.

During the launch, Theodore Katandula, General Manager of Imperial Motors, spoke about the company’s strategy in addressing changing customer needs. “These models are part of the steps we are taking to meet our customers’ needs,” he said, underlining the value of the new lineup in providing advanced, versatile options.

The GWM ORA, the highlight of the launch, is priced at K65 million and is expected to draw interest as an alternative to traditional fuel-powered vehicles, particularly amid current fuel supply challenges. “We have sufficient stock of these vehicles for our customers,” Katandula assured, positioning the ORA as a timely option for buyers interested in electric mobility.

In attendance at the launch were prominent business mogul Thomson Mpinganjira and his wife, Triephonia Mpinganjira, who took part in unveiling the rugged GWM Tank 300. The event attracted considerable attention from potential buyers and automobile enthusiasts, with the Tank 300 and HAVAL GT adding a mix of power and style to Imperial Motors’ lineup.
