Raiply Volleyball Championship mania returns, promising electrifying thrills and spills, as Raiply Malawi Limited boosts sponsorship despite economic challenges, showcasing exemplary corporate social responsibility.
Despite inflationary hurdles and economic downturn, the wood industry has revised its sponsorship upwards from K10 million to K25 million. This commitment comes at a time when other major economic players are scaling back on corporate social responsibilities.
Addressing the media on Monday in Mzuzu, Raiply Malawi’s Administration and Human Resource Manager, Jackson Chapuma, highlighted the substantial increase.
“Rising inflation has impacted event organization costs, prompting our decision,” Chapuma explained. “This boost will ensure the tournament’s smooth execution and support operational needs.”
Volleyball Association of Malawi (VAM) President James Kaunda expressed gratitude for Raiply’s increased support.
“This sponsorship will cover key budgetary needs, contributing to the tournament’s success and team support,” Kaunda said. “It’s a significant step in volleyball development, especially during economic uncertainty.”
VAM president emphasized fair play and integrity, urging teams to avoid doping and unethical practices adding that the volleyball governing body will enforce strict standards to maintain a level playing field.
This year’s event will feature Confederation of African Volleyball (CAV) President, Mrs. Bouchra Hajiji, solidifying the tournament’s continental significance.
The Raiply National Volleyball Tournament promises to attract top teams and thrill enthusiasts, showcasing Raiply Malawi’s commitment to local sports development.
