Over 25,000 people under Traditional Authorities Kawere and Mkanda in Mchinji will now have access to quality health services following opening of Nafuse Health Centre courtesy of Our Aim Foundation (OAF).

Speaking during the handover ceremony, chairperson for OAF, Imtiazbeg Mirza, said the facility stands as a beacon of hope to communities as it will be providing services such as maternal, child health care, emergency and general outpatient services.

Mirza said the foundation has pumped in over K750 million to construct the facility with focus on improving health delivery in the area.

Deputy minister of health, Halima Daudi, has described the development as a milestone, adding that it will address challenges of long distances residents were facing.

Traditional Authority Kawere said over 100 villages stand to benefit from the facility.
