The 14th registered political party in Malawi, Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) has disassociated itself from a propaganda which is circulating in various media platforms of the country trading as Muvi wa Chilungamo,
The propaganda appeared as Breaking news to have come from Muvi wa Chilungamo that Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s children travelled all the way from USA to South Africa to take their father for further medical treatment in the USA.
In the propaganda, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika left the country quietly for South Africa and has been in Pretoria since the 4th June, 2025 for treatment and research by Muvi wa Chilungamo established that a new leadership will be chosen soon to lead the DPP as its presidential torchbearer for the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Since Professor Mutharika’s left the country to South Africa, there have been conflicting news about his health with some other people wishing him to come back home in a coffin and others praying for his condition to worsen for the DPP to go to the polls without a presidential candidate.
Critics of Professor Mutharika have been in various social media platforms inquiring about his whereabouts and this came to the mind of DPP National Publicity Secretary Hon. Shadric Namalomba to clarify the reasons why Professor Mutharika is in South Africa.
Namalomba informed the nation that the party could not tell Malawians that Professor Mutharika was leaving the country out of fear of his enemies who are not sleeping and are doing everything possible to terminate his life.
He assured Malawians that the DPP will do all of what it can to protect and defend Professor Mutharika to the 16th September, 2025 elections for Malawians to prove themselves on the ballot that proven leadership has come with him.
The propaganda by Muvi wa Chilungamo has been received by Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) with a strong reaction of condemning it in strongest terms possible disassociating their reporting as not coming from Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolution Party (MRP).
Its Secretary General Bishop Greyson Mikuwa has advised patriotic Malawians to only take reliable information and messages from the MRPs National Executive Committee members or from its President Bantu Saunders Jumah.
“Last warning to all those that are writing propagandas against Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) as Muvi wa Chilunamo stop this forthwith, and if you continue doing the same, you will be sued in a court of law,” said Mikuwa.
Mikuwa has finally advised those that are fabricating propagandas against Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) that they will not succeed in their agenda of destroying the good image of the party in the eyes of 21 million plus citizens in the country.
