A member of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) speaking through a video clip, says it won’t be easy for President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to relinquish his power as MCP President because the position he is occupying is very sweet.

She said the banging of the table and the statement that he is there as President of the MCP is answering a question on why Chakwera is still clinging in to the position while there are growing calls for him to resign.
Speaking in the video clip, the MCP member has claimed that during the campaign period, some MCP members organized a token to the party of over K100 billion and this was in cash.

She said one Arab country in Africa every year was giving Malawi one million US Dollars to build the MCP but this money has not reached the doors of the MCP, Chakwera received the money for himself.
The MCP member has claimed that President Chakwera clinging on the position of presidency does not mean that he love the party but wants to finish it to end like curtains on the wall.

She said MCP has people who are greed, they think that they are always right observing that these people are the ones who have destroyed the MCP as a party.
The MCP member has asked fellow MCP members that if they want the MCP to fall miserably as on 16th September, 2025 they should put Chakwera on that position and declare him Life President of the MCP.

The MCP member has accused some members of the party surrounding President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to stop deceiving him that he will win the 2030 elections but rather, telling him nothing but the truth that with him as President of the party, MCP can in no way win any election.
