Chakwera Hands Over Power To Chilima

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has handed over the leadership mantle to the country’s Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima.

Chakwera has left the country for Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) where he will attend the 42nd Ordinary Summit of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC).

Chilima was spotted seeing off Chakwera at the Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) while being guarded by Malawi Defence Force (MDF) commander and Inspector General of Malawi Police Service (MPS).
