The European Union (EU) Ambassador to Malawi, Rune Skinnebach, has expressed satisfaction with the way Malawi is implementing programmes aimed at improving the welfare of people with albinism.
Skinnebach made the sentiments in Mitundu, Lilongwe during the activities to mark the 2022 International Albinism Awareness Day.
“Together with our partners CBM and Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre we joined chiefs & the communities in Mitundu to amplify positive voices of PWAs, promote unity, diversity and demystify the condition of albinism,” said Skinnebach.
This year’s commemorations have been held under the theme: ‘United in Making our Voices Heard.’
