Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda says the government is committed to breaking cartels and monopolies in number plate and traffic information system business in the country.

The AG told MBC that within the next few weeks, he will file a case against the developer of the Malawi Traffic Information System MALTIS, Movesa and Fischer Consultant for failure to hand over the system to the Malawi government upon expiry of the contract.

He further said his office engaged Movesa in May to hand over the system by June this year, however, Movesa did not oblige.
