Ireen Navicha Flies Malawi Flag to Vietnam as Miss World 2026 Journey Begins

Miss Malawi Ireen Navicha has left the country for Vietnam to represent Malawi at the Miss World 2026 pageant, marking the nation’s return to the prestigious global competition after a 14-year absence.

Navicha departed for Vietnam ahead of the Miss World 2026 competition, which is scheduled to run from 8 August to 5 September 2026.

Navicha also called on Malawians at home and abroad to support her as she takes the national flag to the international stage.

She said she is travelling with pride, courage and confidence, while carrying with her the warmth and spirit that Malawi is known for.

The departure marks an important milestone for Malawi, with Navicha becoming the country’s representative at the Miss World stage after more than a decade away from the competition.
