Authorities have broken silence and explained that a bizarre picture on the Namiwawa dual carriage in Zomba, that has been circulating on social media, is not necessarily a roundabout but just a mere hole surrounded by blocks.

Two days after the heated public debate, Zomba City Mayor, Davie Maunde is quoted saying the structure in question is temporary because the contractor doing construction works is on holiday.

He says this was simply to prevent road accidents and that a proper roundabout will be constructed.
