Kamangila fault Judicial Service Commission response to allegations of corruption In The Judiciary

Lawyer Alexious Kamangila has faulted the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) response to allegations of corruption in the judiciary.

In his Facebook post, Kamangila pointed out that the JSC’s statement on these allegations was only published in newspapers, limiting public access.
He also questioned the 7-day deadline and noted the lack of accessible platforms for submitting complaints.

Speaking with Times Group, Kamangila highlighted how challenging it may be for people to gather evidence and travel to Lilongwe within such a short period, especially given the years over which the alleged offenses by Justice Kennan Manda have reportedly occurred.

“In general, the JSC is behaving like a proper Kangaroo Court trying to put on a trial a Kangaroo over his crimes against sheep. It can’t work. The Notice begins from dishonesty, when it’s trying to present as if they don’t have outstanding complaints against Manda.” Kamangila said.

The JSC’s notice, published on October 31, calls for credible information or evidence on allegations against Justice Manda and Magistrate Mangeana within a 7-day window.
