Kutsaira Denies Giving Consent For Mchacha To Acquire Land In Kanjedza Forest

By Suleman Chitera Oct12,2022

Former Minister of Natural Resources, Binton Kutsaira has told the High Court in Lilongwe that he did not permit former Minister of Transport and Public Works, Charles Mchacha to acquire land in Kanjedza Forest Reserve in Blantyre.

Kutsaira is the 12th witness to testify in the case in which Mchacha is accused of illegally acquiring the land in Kanjedza Forest.

The court has however failed to hear the testimony of the last witness in the case due to the defence’s request for more time to go through additional disclosures of the witness.

Justice Annabel Mtalimanja has since adjourned the case to 12 and 13 December 2022 when the State will parade the last witness.
