Member of Parliament distributes maize flour to 200 households

Member of Parliament for Salima North West, Honorable Enoch Phale on Saturday distributed maize flour to 200 households who were affected by devastating weather accompanied by Cyclones which caused floods in many areas across his constituency.

In his speech, Phale who is also Deputy Minister of Health after the distribution on Saturday, March 19,2022, thanked Teethsavers International of America for the support, but he came quickly to appeal for more humanitarian assistance, saying above 1,000 more households are still in a die need for such assistance.

“Thanks to Teethsavers International, my long time friends in America for the support through your country office in Malawi. I still have slightly above 1,000 households that need help, would appreciate any doem of support to them.” Said Phale, writing on his Facebook page.

Some parts of Malawi have been hit by different types of Cyclones leading to floods which have dispersed thousands of households rendering them helpless, and in need of support.
