Mgona Residents Apologise Government For Vandalizing Area 25 Health Centre

The residents have so far pleaded for the reopening of the facility saying they are denied access to medical services in other health centers which are not in their zone.

It comes after Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre, Alfred Jiya, engaged the chiefs and community leaders of the area.

Jiya who said he was disappointed by the conduct of the residents has said he will continue engaging the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to make sure that the health centre is opened soon so that people have easy access to health services.

Jiya described a hospital as a sacred and safe zone world over, advising the constituents not to repeat the vice.

The health centre was vandalized following a misunderstanding over the death of a cholera patient.
