NYASA MOBILE PARTNERS WITH VODAFONE FOR A NEW MOBILE NETWORK IN MALAWI

It has been revealed that Nyasa Mobile Company is on the verge of partnering with Vodafone one of the giant mobile and network operators in Europe.

Nyasa Mobile Company Chairman, Konrad Buckle, confirmed the development when reached for comment.

Earlier on Monday Nyasa officials were spotted in Limbe market touring some mobile airtime sellers.

MBC can confirm that the officials of Nyasa and Vodafone were spotted in Limbe, Bangwe and Ndirande appreciating how airtime business runs.

According to Buckle the Nyasa Mobile Company is expecting to roll out its operations towards the end of the year and is set to create over 1 thousand jobs.

“Nyasa Mobile wants to complement the government’s vision to create more jobs for Malawians hence this investment,” Buckle explained.

Nyasa Mobile will be the fourth mobile network operator in the country.

According to Buckle, seven officials from Vodafone-UK are in the country for the mission.

Vodafone is a public listed company operating in 64 countries across the globe.
