Sulom Favouring Bullets–De Jongh

By The Radar Sports Desk

Controversial Silver Strikers Head Coach Pieter de Jongh claims Super League of Malawi-SULOM is favouring FCB Nyasa Big Bullets; citing the manner in which it is handling fixtures.

He has told journalists in Lilongwe the fixture arrangements in the TNM Super League are already advantaging the defending champions.

“Bullets have been given lots of away fixtures in the first round. This means they will have most games at home come second round. That is not fair on the part of SULOM,” says Jongh.

SULOM General Secretary Williams Banda was not available to comment on the allegations.

The coach is also not amused with how football authorities are harmonizing national team assignments with domestic competitions; describing it as poor organization.

He says they had three players on national assignments who are expected to feature in FDH Cup tommorow before another league game on Sunday. He says this not normal.

Since his arrival at the Central Bankers, the Dutch national has slammed the country’s football administrators, poor officiation and openly spoken against the pathetic condition of some football pitches.

Last month, National Football Referees Association called on SULOM to discipline for allegedly bringing football into disrepute.

Then, he had been cautioned five times for protesting against referees’ decisions during league matches. Jongh is on a two year contract with the central region football giants.
