Senior Resident Magistrate Wanangwa Nyirenda has granted bail to former Minister of Finance Joseph Mwanamvekha. Mwananvekha was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday afternoon over allegations that he abused his office. Among other bail conditions, Mwnamvekha has been ordered to pay 1 Million Kwacha and the case has been adjourned to 22 August 2022 when the trial will begin.
