Police officers been called upon to refrain from corruption and mistreating of suspects as it fuels loss of public trust, leading to rise in cases of mob justice and vandalism of the police stations during public demonstrations.

Eastern Region Community Policing Coordinator, Superintendent Memory Mgeni made the call on Monday during an elective meeting of Liwonde Police Station Executive Committee.
