The United Nations Population Fund has partnered with the First Lady’s Shaping Our Future Foundation to eliminate gender-based violence and promote women and girls Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights in the country.
The agreement will also focus on the elimination of the stigma that follows infertility issues amongst women.
Speaking during the signing ceremony Madam Monica Chakwera said infertility remains a big issue which is also increasing gender-based violence in the country.

She said there is a need for collaboration to deal with the challenges women and girls face in the country.
She added that adequate information on Sexual and Reproductive Health as well as education is key to reducing inequalities that many women and girls face.
