Standard Bank Donates K30 Million To MoH
The Ministry of Health (MoH) has received a K30 million donation from Standard Bank of Malawi to help curb the spread of cholera.
Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda applauded the bank for the support and asked other stakeholders to emulate the gesture as government cannot do it all alone.
In his remarks, Chief Executive Officer for Standard Bank, Phillip Madinga, pledged to render support to all sectors in need of help as it is part of the bank’s obligation.
Cyclone Freddy destroyed sanitary facilities in the affected areas a factor that can aggravate the contraction of cholera in the region.
