

30 houses have been destroyed in the area of Senior Chief Kalolo in Lilongwe district after a fracas erupted between community members from Masula and Mvula villages over chieftaincy wrangles.
Lilongwe District Commissioner Lawford Palani has confirmed the development saying the incident happened Thursday when Senior Chief Kalolo passed judgment which the people of Mvula village were not happy with, and decided to burn down houses and destroying properties.
Currently, 22 houses have been destroyed in Masula village and Eight in Mvula village.
