Days after tendering his resignation letter, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Club Licensing and Compliance Manager, Casper Jangale, has told local media that it is now time to join his family in the UK.
Jangale, who was spotted at Kamuzu International Airport boarding Ethiopian Airlines Flight number ET 877 on Sunday, said he has decided to throw in the towel because of what he described as ‘an unfair treatment’ by the soccer governing body he has served for at least 17 years.
“My wife is in the United Kingdom so I am going there to stay. I went there to drop my kids in June 2023 so it’s time to be close to them,” Jangale said.
Before his resignation, Jangale was involved in various initiatives, including the implementation of the Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) and the granting of licenses to Super League teams.
Additionally, he has been involved in workshops and training sessions for clubs where he used to emphasize the importance of improving the quality of women’s football in Malawi.
