UDF Deputy Leader Rahim Elias Calls for Improved Voter Registration Awareness
By Suleman Chitera
Rahim Elias, the Deputy Leader of the United Democratic Front (UDF), has raised concerns about the lack of public awareness around the ongoing voter registration process. According to Elias, the process has faced setbacks in many areas, as awareness efforts began too late for the public to fully benefit.
“Our understanding is that the National Registration Bureau (NRB) needs to ensure voter registration is accessible at all registration centers so that every eligible person has the opportunity to register,” Elias emphasized.
Political parties have voiced that failure to address these challenges is limiting many Malawians’ democratic rights
