PP and Mafunde announce coalition agreement

The People’s Party (PP) and the Malawi Forum for Unity and Development (Mafunde) have officially announced that they have formed a political alliance.

Ben Chakhame, the Secretary-General of the PP, made the announcement during a press conference in Blantyre, where he stated that this partnership is based on the shared principles and ideologies of both parties.

Chakhame emphasized that the alliance signifies the potential for political parties with similar values to come together and work toward common goals. He revealed that the senior leadership of both parties had met to discuss and plan their collaboration, which could even extend beyond the upcoming elections.

The two parties are the first to announce their formal partnership in what is expected to be a politically significant move. This development marks a new chapter in Malawi’s political landscape, as the PP and Mafunde aim to combine their resources and efforts to strengthen their position ahead of future elections.

Both parties expressed confidence that their collaboration will bring about positive change for the country, addressing key issues and working together for the benefit of all Malawians.
