Chakwera Will Always Elevate Humble Chiefs
Local Government, Unity and Culture Minister, Richard Chimwendo Banda says President Lazarus Chakwera will always elevate traditional leaders who are humble and listen to other people's views.
He spoke this during the elevation of Traditional Authorities Timbiri and Malanda to Senior Chiefs in Nkhatabay on Saturday.
The minister further described the Tonga people as hardworking and with passion for their culture; adding the Tonga Heritage is promoting unity and conveying messages in a comprehensive manner.
"For us to teach young ones, it is the heritage that supports that through history, dances and music," said Chimwendo Banda who also presided over the Mdawuku Wa Atonga-MWATO cultural festival.
