A Mzuzu City-based security company, Lino Security Service, has entered into a partnership with the Northern Region Table Tennis Association (TTAM) to promote the growth of the sport tennis in the region.

Speaking at the regional TTAM’s elective annual general meeting in Mzuzu, Lino Security Service’s Chief Executive Officer, Maxwell Mnjemu, emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the partnership requesting the association’s strategic plan to support the facilitation of priorities.
Mnjemu stressed that the company expects the TTA to expand the sport to rural areas, where their investment can be measured at a national level as part of their Social Corporate Responsibilities.
“We want to see tangible results from our support,” Mnjemu said.
Vice President of the Table Tennis Association of Malawi, Thom Mhango, expressed gratitude for Lino Security Service’s support in nurturing grassroots talent, particularly in preparation for the Zone V tournament in Windhoek, Namibia, later this year.
Mhango advised the regional body to focus on programs outlined in their strategic plan to ensure sustained sponsorship.
During the meeting, the following individuals were elected to various positions:
- Chairperson: Kondwani Thindwa
- Vice Chairperson: Draxon Maloya
- Secretary: Loveness Chimaliro
- Vice Secretary: Chuma Thindwa
- Treasurer: Thokozani Chisale
The following committee members were also elected:
- Moreen Nkhoma
- Mphatso Longwe
- Malumbo Njikho
- Warona Gondwe
- Christopher Mtemera
