Blantyre Malawi– The Ekhaya football team has strengthened its squad with the addition of three new players: goalkeeper Joshua Waka and midfielders Moses Banda and Blessings Malinda.
The youthful side, popularly known as “the cattle herders,” announced the signings ahead of their crucial TNM Super League fixture this Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium against Mzuzu City Hammers.
Waka joins from Blue Eagles for a reported 10 million kwacha, while Banda and Malinda were signed from Civo, though their transfer fees remain undisclosed.

Speaking after completing his move, Waka expressed his excitement about joining the ambitious club.

“There were other big teams that also wanted me, but Ekhaya is where my heart has chosen. The fans should expect great work from me,” he said.
Head coach Enos Chatama welcomed the new additions, noting that they will bring depth and healthy competition to the squad.
“These signings are important for us as they strengthen the team. I am looking forward to seeing their impact as we push for better results,” said Chatama.
Currently sitting fourth on the TNM Super League table with 26 points, Ekhaya are proving to be one of the most exciting young teams this season. Fans will be eager to see whether the new recruits can help the side continue its impressive run and challenge the league’s traditional giants.
