Member of Parliament for Ntcheu Central and Deputy Minister of Homeland Security, Honourable Norman Chisale, continues to win praise from communities after donating assorted items aimed at improving education and supporting vulnerable families in Traditional Authority Makwangwala and Traditional Authority Champiti.

The large-scale donation included 5,000 exercise books, 5,000 pieces of chalk, 1,058 bars of U-fresh soap, 18 bicycles for teachers, and 1,500 bags of flour for each area. The support has been described by local residents as one of the biggest direct community interventions ever witnessed in Ntcheu Central.

The donation reflects Honourable Chisale’s continued commitment to improving the welfare of people at the grassroots level. In many schools across rural areas, learners often struggle due to lack of learning materials, while teachers face transportation challenges when travelling long distances to schools. By providing exercise books, chalk, and bicycles, the MP has directly addressed some of the key problems affecting education in the constituency.

Communities under Traditional Authority Makwangwala and Traditional Authority Champiti have also benefited from flour and soap donations, which are expected to ease the burden on families facing economic hardships. Many households in rural Malawi continue to struggle with rising costs of living, making such assistance important for daily survival and dignity.

Speaking during the event, Traditional Authority Makwangwala commended Honourable Norman Chisale for his dedication and consistency in helping the people of Ntcheu Central. The traditional leader stated that Chisale has shown rare commitment compared to previous leaders, adding that he continues to support communities without growing tired or abandoning the people after elections.

Residents who attended the donation ceremony expressed gratitude for the MP’s efforts, saying the assistance demonstrates that their concerns are being heard. Some community members noted that the bicycles given to teachers will improve punctuality and efficiency in schools, while learners will now have better access to educational materials that many parents fail to afford.
